Writing has long been the part of any job that I love the most. When working in a not-for-profit, I wrote short stories about the people we helped. Employers published those to promote our EAP hotline. Once I started creating employee training, I wrote stories to engage learners in the content. A strong storyline gives context to the learning. It helps learners recall and apply the content when they need to use it.

I have written on topics ranging from family relationships to personal finance to health care plans. Twenty years of writing adult courseware on production deadlines has taught me the disciplined practice of putting words on the page.

When I am not writing or reading, I am singing with my church choir, or walking and enjoying nature.

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina with my cat, Silvershine. My husband, who was such a terrific fan of my writing, passed away in January, 2021. We miss him.
